Dog Breed: Chihuahua (short coat). Meet Helicopter! We have never met a dog more willing to give love and cuddles than Heli. She is a quiet and cuddly 4-year old Chihuahua, weighing in at a whole 5.8 lbs. She is gentle, friendly, and has a tail that wags at 1000 mph. When her tail is not wagging, she can be found cuddling up on our laps. If you are sitting, she will find your lap, guaranteed. She is a little anxious when left alone, & shows signs of separation anxiety. She’d benefit from someone who enjoys being at home and cuddling with their pets. Or someone who loves bringing their pets everywhere (she does great in a dog sling!) She is not a barker (hasn’t let out a bark in the full two weeks we’ve had her, and doesn’t reactively bark when our own chihuahua barks at passerby’s). She does whine a little bit when we need to leave her in the puppy play pen. She gets along very well with other dogs and kids, and I assume would be just as gentle with cats. We are currently working on potty training. She understands the concept, but due to some nervous energy, she often holds it for long periods of time. She is not very experienced on a leash so walks can still feel a bit overwhelming for her. We think she’d benefit from having a fenced yard, or an apartment with a dog turf. Helicopter is vaccinated and microchipped. She is scheduled for a spay and thorough dental. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.
