Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler. {s1550code1114/} {s1550code1111/} {s1550code1113/} Klaus is a bright and affectionate Australian Cattle Dog with the perfect mix of energy and heart. He’s housebroken, crate trained, and loves his twice-daily walks — the perfect partner for someone who enjoys staying active. He’s incredibly smart and eager to please, already knowing commands like sit, down, and he will patiently stay by the door until you tell him it’s time to go out. Like most Cattle Dogs, he thrives on consistency and structure, and he’ll reward you with total devotion. When it’s time to play, Klaus has one favorite hobby — destroying cardboard boxes! Don’t worry though — he’s a perfect gentleman in the house and saves all that energy just for his boxes. He also loves his rubber chew toys!! After he’s done with his “cardboard projects,” this sweet boy turns into a cuddle pumpkin, happy to curl up in your lap and soak up all the love you have to give. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s as intelligent as he is affectionate, Klaus will be your best friend through every walk, cuddle, and adventure. He’s also good with other dogs, but I really think he’d be best in a home with only one other dog or as a single dog. He just really loves a lot of attention. He’s also OK with kids. He lived with two kids that are currently seven and nine.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
