To ensure Cheezy Weezy finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. Cheezy Weezy | 1-Year-Old Chihuahua Mix | The Life of the Paw-ty Cheezy Weezy is a 14-pound bundle of personality who’s equal parts cuddly and comical. This little guy may have been found as a stray, but you’d never know it—he’s full of confidence, charm, and love to give. He’s mostly house-trained and will let you know when it’s time to go out by whining or standing by the door. Cheezy loves car rides, playing with his toys, and curling up under the covers for a nap (preferably right next to his person). He’s friendly with other dogs and loves to play—though he sometimes gets a bit too enthusiastic! On leash, he can be reactive to other dogs, people, or anything with wheels, but with consistent training and patience, he’s learning to relax and focus. When left alone, Cheezy may whine or bark at first but quickly settles down. Crating, however, isn’t his favorite—he’d much rather be out with his people. He knows a few basic commands, responds well to redirection, and is highly motivated by food—especially grilled chicken! Cheezy’s ideal home would be with an active, loving family who can give him the attention, structure, and socialization he needs to thrive. He’ll reward you with endless affection, entertainment, and snuggles. Could Cheezy Weezy be the perfect addition to your family? If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
