We are assisting her owner. We’re out of time. Ginger’s beloved owner is entering assisted living on November 1, and Ginger has nowhere to go. We have found her canine companion a home—but Ginger is still waiting. She’s been shared with every Indiana rescue. Not one responded.. We spoke to her owner on the phone. In the background, Ginger was playing—joyful, unaware that her world was about to change. She’s 7 years old, full of life, and deeply bonded to her people. A shelter isn’t an option. They’re overcrowded, and Ginger would shut down in that environment. Her owner agrees: the noise, the isolation, the heartbreak—it would crush her spirit. If no foster or adopter steps forward by November 1, Ginger will be humanely euthanized at the vet. Not because she’s sick. Not because she’s unlovable. But because there’s simply nowhere for her to go. She has never been around cats, however, her owner feels they would not be an issue, as she has been great with any animal she meets. If you live in a condo or subdivision with restrictions on physical fences, we will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
