Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Carson is a total hunk who's a big, lovable chunk of a pittie with a stunning light silver-tan coat and a smile that'll melt anyoneâs heart. He's playful, full of zest, and loves life with the enthusiasm only a pittie can bring. Bonus points: heâs a professional splooter! This strong boy is built for adventure. With the right gear (and a family who's up for the ride), Carson would thrive with an active family that enjoys walks, hikes, or playtime in the yard. He's friendly and outgoing with new people and has shown to be neutral around other dogs. We always recommend a proper dog-to-dog meet and greet to make sure everyone vibes! Carson doesn't bat an eye at turkeys or squirrels, and he absolutely loves soaking up affection and pets from his humans. He'd do best with dog-savvy kids who can appreciate his playful, bouncy nature. Behind his muscle and energy is a total sweetheart who just wants love, structure, and a family to help him channel all that happy energy into being the best boy he can be. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Overview:
The American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) is a robust and intelligent breed, originating in the United States from crossbreeding Old English Terriers and Old English Bulldogs for dog-fighting purposes. Physically, they are medium-sized, known for their muscular build, broad heads, and powerful jaws, typically weighing between 30-60 pounds. Their coats are short and come in a wide array of colors. Temperamentally, a well-socialized APBT is often described as loyal, affectionate, and people-oriented, displaying a playful and sometimes clownish demeanor. They can be excellent family companions, provided they receive consistent training and early socialization, though their high energy levels mean they thrive with active owners. While they can adapt to apartment living with sufficient exercise, a house with a secure yard is often preferred. Notable health considerations include a predisposition to hip and elbow dysplasia, allergies, and certain heart conditions.
