Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Dachshund / Mixed. A SWEET COMPANION: Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 14 lbs. Hi there, I’m Whiskey! I came to Mostly Mutts from a home that just had too many dogs and needed help. I wasn’t properly socialized, but I’m learning now and coming along very nicely with all the wonderful volunteers that come to spend time with me - it’s great! I may need a little time to settle in and trust you, but then I believe we’ll be best friends! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I have lived with a lot of dogs and have decided that I no longer want to live with other dogs. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and I think I’d do best with older kids. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a super sweet, loving boy who just needed a little time and patience to learn that people are kind and the world isn’t scary. At first, I wasn’t too sure about things like leashes or new people, but once I realized I could trust the volunteers, my true personality came shining through! I happily crawl into laps for cuddles and kisses, wag my tail nonstop, and soak up all the affection. I enjoy going outside and feeling the sunshine with the volunteers and life is pretty great now that I’m learning how wonderful it is to be loved! / Energy Level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program, have mastered the ‘sit’ command so far and I look forward to learning more. / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts. / My former owner reported that I wasn’t potty trained, though I’m doing pretty well on the shelter schedule with some accidents. Just know that I may need some help in this area. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I seem interested in toys, and I like laps and attention from the volunteers. I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we will enjoy doing together once I’ve settled into my new home. / I don’t care for other dogs, and I wouldn’t be happy if people rushed me into new situations or relationships and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m looking for a loving, stable home where I’ll be cherished! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
