Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Dachshund / Mixed. A BLOSSOMING FRIEND: Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 20 lbs. Hi there, I’m Bourbon! I came to Mostly Mutts from a home that just had too many dogs and needed help. I wasn’t properly socialized, but I’m learning now and coming along pretty well. Once I know and choose you as one of my people – you’re in! I’ll just need a little time to settle in and trust you, but then I believe we’ll be good friends! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I have lived with a lot of dogs and have decided that I no longer want to live with other dogs. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best 15+ who will be able to read my signals and give me time to feel at home. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I came in a scared and sensitive soul who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. When I’m unsure, I might retreat to a corner or give a little growl - it’s just my way of saying I need a bit of space and time to feel safe. But once I know you’re my person, my heart opens up completely! I’ll show you my silly side with happy zoomies and gentle kisses. I’m all about trust and patience - go slowly with me at first, keep me safe so I don’t get startled, and soon you’ll see what a loyal, loving friend I can be. / Energy Level: 3-5, but this may increase a bit as I gain more confidence. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and look forward to learning some commands with my trainer. Check back soon to see what I’ve learned. / I’m doing well in my little room at Mostly Mutts. / My former owner reported that I wasn’t potty trained, though I’m doing pretty well on the shelter schedule with a few accidents. Just know that I may need some help in this area. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love my people once I know them, I’ll run around doing zoomies to show them how happy I am to see them and I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we will enjoy doing together once I’ve settled into my new home. / I don’t care for other dogs, and I wouldn’t be happy if people rushed me into new situations or relationships and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m looking for a loving, stable home where I’ll be cherished! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
