Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). !!URGENT: DEADLINE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE: WEDNESDAY 11/5 5:00 PM!! Meet Isla! This energetic gal is a 2-year-old brown and white pit bull mix who’s hoping for an angel to spring her from the shelter! She hasn’t been with us long, but it’s clear that the crowded, noisy environment is overwhelming for this high-spirited girl who is bursting with enthusiasm. She’s full of life and ready to share it with someone who understands her zest for adventure. We learned Isla tested positive for heartworm, but don’t let that scare you off- with the right care and medication, heartworm is treatable, and Isla has a bright future ahead. Out in the play yards, Isla loves to romp, run, and explore every nook and cranny, sniffing out all the good. She’s a curious, playful girl who’s happiest when she’s moving and engaging with her people. She would do best as the only pet in the environment as she has not done well being around other dogs in playgroups. What she truly needs is someone who can meet her physical and mental needs, provide structure and lots of love. Isla is so ready to start her next chapter with a person who sees her potential and gives her the chance she’s been waiting for! To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
