Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois (medium coat). Sofia is a sweet, loyal, and incredibly smart girl who loves people and dogs of all sizes. Sheâs social, affectionate, and loves to cuddle! Sofia enjoys walks, fetch, enrichment games, and training timeâsheâs very food-motivated and eager to please. Sheâs house-trained, crate-trained, and knows many commands like âsit,â âstay,â âleave it,â and âdown.â Sofia is polite with other dogs, understands boundaries, and has no food aggression. Sheâs playful but can be a bit excited at firstâshe just loves making friends! Sofia thrives on attention and mental stimulation, so a home that can give her love, structure, and daily enrichment would be perfect. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
