Dog Breed: Beagle / Basset Hound / Mixed (short coat). All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. Senior dogs receive extra bloodwork and we try to do dental cleanings on any dogs that need them. Most of the dogs in our care are crate-trained and cat tested. We test with kids when we can. Our process can seem involved and long - we appreciate your patience. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out. “Meet Gunther! He is approximately 8 years old and would be a wonderful addition to his forever home. After spending years chained outside, Gunther is happy to cuddle up inside with his humans. He does great on short walks, but doesn’t choose to hang out in the yard with his four furry siblings. Gunther would be fine as a solo dog! Because he worries about being sent back to a kennel or back on a chain in the yard, he stays close to his humans always keeping them within his view. He sleeps through the night and is doing great with his potty training. Gunther is a very affectionate dog and loves his belly rubs. He would be a wonderful addition to a family that is looking for a cuddly companion. He has not found his bark as he quietly watches his furry siblings alert the household when the mailman drives by. Our process can take as long as two weeks (we work day jobs!) so having an already approved application speeds things up considerably when you see a dog that catches your eye.
