Dog Breed: Carolina Dog / German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. Welcome Apple to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Apple is a 1.5 year old Carolina dog/German Shepherd dog. She is about 35 pounds and a good weight. She is good in a car, potty trained, doggy door trained and lives with six children starting at age 2. She also lives with 6 other dogs and does fine. She would be great with a family and children would be fine. She is extremely smart and will require physical and mental stimulation to be happy and well rounded. She would be fine with children. We like them 8 years or older. She is energetic and is good at fetch. She bonds deeply and will be protective when fully bonded to her human. She is a little timid with strangers but comfortable with her people. Her foster family is going to start taking her places so he can get used to changes in environment and other people. She is a nice dog and naturally a little protective to her family. She would be great with a family that the dad travels and he wants to feel that his family is safe and taken care of. She is a moderate shedding dog and with his long legs would be a great walking or jogging companion. She can settle down but an active family would be best for this gem. She is spayed, healthy and getting her vaccinations and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200.
