Adoption APPLICATION: Muttsinneed/adoption-application ** Application must be completed prior to a meet & greet. Our Adoption Process:Muttsinneed/adoption-process Bella G is what we call a “fun-sized” cattle dog. She is approx 30lbs and around 2-3years old. Bella G’s previous owner was sick and have to fly international and was not planning on returning. The family member that was supposed to be taking care of her did not. Thankfully, the daughter of the owner contacted us. We were originally told Bella was six years old only to get the paperwork and find out she was 2 to 3. When our vet spayed her, they think she’s closer to two. Bella is very easy-going and loves to be near her people. She is dog-friendly but definitely prefers human presence more. Bella G loves going on walks and getting butt scratches. If you’d like to meet Bella G, please apply at .muttsinneed/adoption-application.html

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
