Kibah was out of time at a metro shelter so with a little help from our friends, we put him in boarding until we had room. Introducing the one and only: Sir Howl-a-lot! This four-year-old male husky may have had a rough start (his ears have some battle scars to prove it), but he’s all about love, cuddles, and a good chat. He’s a little on the submissive side—think of him as a champion belly-up master—but he’ll happily serenade you with his famous husky “talk.” If you’re looking for a sweet, quirky companion with a uniquely handsome look and a big personality, this is your guy!

The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy.
