Dog Breed: Shih Tzu. A CALM LITTLE FELLOW: Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 9 lbs. Hi there, I’m Rusty! I came to Mostly Mutts when my previous owner could no longer care for me, and now I’m ready to find a new loving home. When I arrived, I needed some extra TLC, including bloodwork and a good dental cleaning - thanks to a generous grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization, I’m all taken care of and feeling great! I’m currently enjoying life in a wonderful foster home while I wait to meet my forever family! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: There’s a large and small dog in my foster home and I’m a tad shy with them, but we do get along. I also came in with another little dog that I got along with, and my former owner reported that I liked other dogs, too, so if you have a gentle-natured dog that isn’t looking for a playmate, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I like the sweet 10- and 13-year-olds that visit my foster home. My former owner reported that I liked the kids I met while I was with them, too, though I don’t recall their ages, so if you have kids that will be gentle with me, let’s meet and best no very young kids that may fall on me as I’m small. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a super cute, quiet, easygoing pup who loves a calm, laid-back lifestyle. I’m not one for lots of excitement — I’d much rather spend my days cuddling up with my people and enjoying a peaceful home. I’m gentle, loving, and oh-so-sweet — the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a relaxed, cozy kind of love. / Energy level: 2-4. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: In my foster home, I’ve shown that I know the ‘sit’, ‘down’, and come commands. / I haven’t been crated and don’t really seem to need one. / My potty manners are very good in my foster home – I tinkle right away and take some time (5-10 minutes) to do number two. My former owner also reported that I had good potty manners. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love my naps and cuddling up close with my favorite people. I also like that my foster home is a nice calm, quiet environment. / I wouldn’t want to live in a busy home environment and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention and good care. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I had 15 teeth pulled when I got my teeth cleaned. I’m taking antibiotics for a short time due to my dental cleaning, and I like those pills in cheese, please. I’m a wonderful little friend looking for a loving and calm home. My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
