Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Meet Patootie a 6 month old female 25lb lab mix who truly lives up to her name — she’s an absolute cutie patootie! With her stunning green, soulful eyes and her happy, spirited personality, this girl will melt your heart in seconds. Patootie didn’t have the easiest start to life. She was heartbreakingly placed on the euthanasia list at an overcrowded West Virginia shelter. But thanks to Paws Across Pittsburgh, she was rescued just in time — and now she’s thriving in her foster home, surrounded by love, soft beds, and plenty of toys! We believe Patootie is a Lab mixed with Jack Russell Terrier, which perfectly explains her high energy, playful spirit, and big personality packed into her 25-pound frame! She will most likely be medium sized when fully grown. She’s a little firecracker who loves to run, play, and be part of the action. She’s currently fostered with other dogs, teenage kids, and even 2 cats (though she can’t resist chasing them from time to time!). She gets along great with dogs and kids and would love a home with another doggy playmate and a fenced yard where she can zoom to her heart’s content. Patootie is also quite the “yardwork helper” — she enjoys a good dig, so if you’ve got some gardening projects, she’ll happily assist! Despite her goofy puppy energy, she’s very smart and eager to please. She’s housetrained, working on her crate training, and learning basic commands. A family willing to continue her training and give her an active lifestyle will make her one happy pup! Patootie is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccines. She’s ready to bring endless love, laughter, and adventure into her forever home.
