Dog Breed: Redbone Coonhound (short coat). Hi, I'm Ruby! Once a skilled hunter, I discovered a hidden grove with magical butterflies that whispered secrets of the world. Curious, I followed one and it led me here, to the shelter. I'm a bit shy but love cuddles and gentle touches. I'm also very sweet and curious about everything around me! I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love and maybe some magical stories too. If you need a gentle companion to explore the quiet corners of life, I'm just the friend you need. Ruby is 3ys old, 55 lbs, spayed, and her adoption includes a microchip with lifetime registration, 4dx SNAP heartworm test, DHLPP, Bordetella, and rabies and parasite control. Also included in the adoption are 30 days of Pet First Pet Insurance, a new lead and collar, and an adoption kit. The Redbone Coonhound is a striking American breed, instantly recognizable by its beautiful, glossy red coat. Originating in the Southeastern United States in the late 18th century, they were developed for their exceptional scenting abilities and distinctive "bawling" bark, ideal for trailing and treeing raccoons and other small game.
