Pet Description: Dominic is a five-year old female Chihuahua who is marked as special needs as she is severely obese (weighs 25 lbs) so needs to get regular exercise and monitor her food to help her lose about half of her body weight. She was spoiled by an older owner who could then no longer care for her. Getting weight off of her will make her so much healthier & happier. We have seen her try to play with the other small dog in the office but she doesn't have a lot of stamina for such a young dog. No children please as has not been around them and has a few quirks like doesn't seem to like to be scratched under her chin, on her butt or her tummy. But she is sweet - just now needs someone to love her enough to help her lose weight. DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more. (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).
