Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Meet Miley! Sweet Miley is a 5 year old sweetheart, around 18 lbs. Such a beautiful girl with pretty lining around her eyes. Miley is a very affectionate, loving dog. She loves to snuggle with you on the couch and go for walks (great on leash) and is happy to be in her crate at night. She can be a little timid with new people and new dogs but she only needs a moment to get over that. She was rescued from the streets of Mexico years ago and can still display a little hesitation at times in new situations. Miley is a sweet girl but is inconsistent with her potty training. She will mainly go outside but at times with have an accident inside. Miley is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
