Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Jenny Craig is a 6-month-old female Terrier mix who has already been spayed. She was found near a downtown park and her owner did not claim her. Jenny Craig has a medium length white coat with black markings that has a wiry look to it but her coat is very soft. Just look at those ears! Aren't they the cutest thing ever? She only weighs 20 pounds so she is a small dog. Jenny Craig is affectionate, sweet, and the perfect size to fit in anywhere. She would be a great addition to a family with children and other dogs. Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75. All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under "special needs" our dogs have screened heart worm negative.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
