Description
Dog Breed: Hound / Mixed. Are you a movie fan? Ever watched Labyrinth? I am named after the dwarf. While I'm not anything like my character at the start of the movie if you have seen the end of the movie thats more my character! With a little time just as in the movie I will be loyal friend! I'm cat and dog friendly and just like I should be I'm a loud hound dog! Easy to walk and easy to please. I can't wait to have a home of my own. I lived with a smaller dog and didnt mind him and my owners had only a 4ft fence and I respected it. My family did not want to bring me back because I was such a good boy and big part of the family but due to a major life changing event they were forced to bring me back. So watch Labyrinth then come by and add me to the family or better yet come get me and we can lay on the couch together and watch a movie of your choosing, I only request belly rubs.Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at infoawlwarsaw if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
