Dog Breed: Plott Hound / Mixed (short coat). Online Adoption Application › This is Mary Lou! She came to us as a stray about a year ago after my husband found her sleeping on a pile of rocks where he worked. She was just a puppy about 3 months old, and just skin and bones. She was starving and completely malnourished. Her tail was already docked when we found her. We immediately got her vetted and after discovering she had no chip and no one looking for her, we brought her into our home and raised her back to perfect health. Fast forward to today, Mary Lou is a completely healthy pooch and Up to date on all her vaccines. We got her dna tested to verify her breed (which will be pictured below) and she is also spayed and microchipped. Mary Lou is extremely well taken care of which is why this decision has weighed so heavy on my heart. We want to make sure she goes to loving home that meets her needs and will love her forever. Mary Lou would do best in a both a family home or a single companion. She is dog and child friendly. She also lives in a home with cats however she will give chase. But will not harm. She does not have an aggressive bone in her body and absolutely loves children. She would also do great with other dogs as they give her the confidence she needs. We believe because of her abandonment she suffers from slight anxiety. Nothing that is extensive but just something that is noticable. Which is why we believe she will do well with another dog because they give her a sense of companionship that she needs and she is submissive. She also is medium to high energy once comfortable. Which is why I Believe she would do well with someone who can take her on long walks or runs. She is both house trained and crate trained. She sleeps in her kennel every night. Her DOB is approx June 4, 2024. She does need a little more obedience training. But knows basic commands like sit, and stay. But easily trainable especially if treats are involved.
