Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Jane Doe, momma of our Blindspot pups. Jane is about 2 years old and came to us from a hoarding neglect case pregnant. Jane is a really great little girl who weighs about 12 lbs. She is a shy girl and we can't blame her after suffering at the hands of her abuser. Hand out treats and she will be your best friend before you know it. Jane does well with other dogs once proper introductions are done. She thrives with friendly attentive dogs. She is a needy girl and would love a home that will welcome her on the couch to snuggle and sleep in bed with you. A lower energy home would be ideal. She is almost housebroken and needs consistency in her life to continue the upward swing. She is very hand shy so someone with patience would be great for her. She walks well on leash and is crate trained but no blankets or pads because she will shred them. You must be over 21 to submit an application to adopt and live within 2 hours of the Lehigh Valley, PA area within NJ or PA. Visit our website to apply .outcastrescue PA Kennel License 16187

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
