Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Chara – ACC Survivor & Brave Mama At just 2 years old, Chara has already overcome so much. Dumped as a stray and left to fend for herself alongside her “daughter” and “grandpups,” this resilient mama has proven what true strength looks like. Thanks to our amazing supporters, this little family is now safe—and Chara’s hardest days are finally behind her. Currently resting in Binghamton, she will be heading to a new NE foster home next week (thank you fosters!) Chara is a happy, affectionate girl who’s great with kids and other dogs (no cats, please!). Now, she just needs a little extra love and support as she prepares for her forever home. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada.
