Dog Breed: Siberian Husky / Akita / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Spartan — an incredibly handsome boy with the personality to match! Spartan recently accompanied one of our team members to a County Training event, where he had the chance to meet dozens of County employees. He made a fantastic impression, greeting everyone politely, soaking up belly rubs, and even curling up for a nap on a cozy bed during the quieter moments. He handled the car ride well, too. With a little encouragement he hopped into the SUV, and while he occasionally tried to sneak into the front seat, a gentle reminder was all he needed to settle calmly in the back. Throughout the day, Spartan visited several county offices and met lots of new people — and he was wonderful with every single one of them. In playgroup, Spartan does well with other dogs and may just need a bit of practice with his manners, but he’s eager to learn and even more eager to please. Spartan enjoyed a great few hours out of the shelter and showed us just what a well-behaved, loving companion he can be. He’s ready to bring his charm — and those good looks — into a home of his own!
