Dog Breed: Shih Tzu. COOPER, a 9-year-old, 16 lb, Shih Tzu mix recently joined us after being lovingly surrendered by his only owner. Understandably, Cooper was a little unsure at first — after all, it’s a big change after nine years of comfort and routine. But beneath that uncertainty shines a truly sweet, friendly little guy who just wants to feel safe and loved again. He’s adjusting beautifully to his new friends and surroundings, and it’s been such a joy watching his personality bloom a little more each day.
