Description
Dog Breed: Boxer. 10/18/2025 Abby III is an owner surrender looking for a new home. HI! My name is Abby! I am a beautiful 6 year old flashy fawn girl that is an owner surrender due to not getting along with the dogs in the home and for everyone's needs, I must be the only dog in the home. I am described as friendly, active, and playful! I do not like cats or other dogs but am said to love kids! Three kids are at my home on the weekends and I do well with them! I am house trained, crate trained, know basic commands, and sleep in my crate at night! If the humans must be away, I will cry because I want to be with them. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, balls, and getting all the attention and pets! If you think I would make a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!

A.K.A.: Deutscher Boxer, German Boxer, Dutch Boxer, Boxer dog, Boxy, Boxerman
Overview:
The Boxer is a medium-sized, short-haired dog breed of German origin, known for its distinctive appearance and vibrant personality. Physically, Boxers possess a strong, athletic build with a characteristic square head, an undershot jaw, and often a docked tail and cropped ears (though these practices are becoming less common). Their short, glossy coat typically comes in fawn or brindle, often with white markings. Temperamentally, Boxers are renowned for being incredibly loyal, intelligent, and energetic, making them fantastic companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and can be playful and patient with children, making them excellent family pets. While their energy levels require regular exercise, their adaptability means they can adjust to apartment living if their activity needs are consistently met. However, potential owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including a predisposition to some cancers, heart conditions like cardiomyopathy, and hip dysplasia, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
