Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Let’s give the biggest, happiest welcome to Hattie! Aren’t these girls just the cutest? We think Hattie might actually be Harley’s mom , and both of them ended up at the shelter with their own little litters of puppies, which sadly put them on the euthanasia list. But now they’re safe and ready for their next chapter! Both girls weigh just about 30-35 pounds and are bursting with sweetness and love. Harley’s a playful little mischief-maker who’s always ready for fun, while Hattie is a classy lady who just wants all the pets and cuddles. We know it’s tricky to find homes for two pups, and they’re not even boarding together, so they don’t have to be adopted as a pair—but honestly, two is always better than one, right? We’d love for them to stick together if possible, but it’s not a must! Right now, we’re looking for fosters or forever homes for these cuties! Visit .scoutshonor for more information about fostering or adopting!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
