Dog Breed: Rottweiler. Meet Xander! Xander is settling in wonderfully with his foster parents while he waits for his perfect forever home. He’s an extremely energetic boy who loves affectionate, attention and any kind of playtime. Xander has completed a 6 week board and train program with Paw Creek Dog Training. He is smart and well-trained thanks to Amanda and her team at the training facility. He knows sit, place, walks beautifully on leash, and is not treat motivated. Xander enjoys daily walks sometimes even two a day and loves play time in his foster parents backyard. He’s happy, active, and so ready to meet his new family! Xander would be best as the only pet in the house. He will come with free training lessons so that you can fully understand Xander, the way that he was trained and to insure a smooth transition into your home. Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, .rottenrottie click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different Rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $500 for most adults, $400 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption.

Rottweiler

A.K.A.: Rottweil butcher's dog, Rottweil dog, Rottie, Rotty, Rott, Rot, Rotts, Rotties, Butchers dog, German Rottweiler
Overview:

The Rottweiler is a powerful and intelligent breed, originating in Germany where they were primarily used to drive cattle and guard property. Physically, they are robust dogs, instantly recognizable by their medium-large size, strong build, and striking black coat with distinct tan markings, particularly on the muzzle, chest, and legs. Their temperament, when properly socialized and trained, is one of unwavering loyalty and confidence; they are known for being calm and courageous, making them excellent guardians. While generally good with children within their own family, their protective instincts mean they require supervision with strangers. Due to their size and need for regular exercise and mental stimulation, Rottweilers are generally not ideal for apartment living and thrive in homes with secure yards. Health-wise, they can be predisposed to conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain heart conditions, necessitating responsible breeding practices and regular veterinary check-ups.
