Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Sweet puppy Eloise has already been through so much. She was found outside in a crate with no food or water.. But this brave little pup is writing a new chapter — one filled with love, play, and belly rubs. Now safe in her foster home, Eloise is learning that humans can be kind and cuddles are pretty great. She’s understanding trust and her progress is inspiring. With a few treats and a gentle voice, she blossoms — showing off her playful spirit and snuggly side. ✨ What makes Eloise special: Sleeps soundly in her crate like a pro Loves treats and learns quickly (sit, place and heart-melting eye contact) Playful, affectionate, and oh-so-cute — seriously, she’s a head-turner Eloise is looking for a patient, loving home that understands puppy tendencies and will continue to show her the good in the world. If you’re ready to help her feel safe and adored, she’ll repay you with loyalty, laughter, and endless puppy kisses. Ready to meet the cutest pup with the biggest heart? Eloise is waiting. We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogsccrcdogs with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at .ccrcdogs, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
