Before being rescued, Xena spent her young life tethered to a short chain on someone else’s property, used only to breed beautiful shepherd puppies. Neglected, emaciated, and pregnant—with no prenatal care—Xena’s future looked bleak. But this strong, resilient and hopeful girl held on until help arrived. Xena waited to give birth until she reached the safety and comfort of her foster home, where she delivered seven healthy babies and has since been the most incredible, loving mom. Now, with her puppies thriving and soon ready for their own adventures, it’s Xena’s turn to be the one who’s cared for, cherished, and spoiled like she deserves. At just around 2 years old, Xena is still a young, spirited girl with her whole life ahead of her. She’s got energy to spare and would love an active family who will include her in their adventures—hikes, walks, backyard playtime, you name it! A home with a yard where she can run and stretch her legs would be a dream come true. She makes friends easily, human and canine. After everything she’s endured, Xena is ready to finally experience what it means to be part of a family and a beloved companion. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption.
