Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Dachshund / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 550. Hi, I’m Rosie Posie — a sweet, snuggly girl who just wants to feel safe, loved, and included in her person’s world. Once I trust you, I’m a total love bug who adores cuddles, hugs, and being right by your side. My foster mom says I make every day brighter with my playful spirit and affection, and we have fun little routines that keep me happy and secure. I can be pretty cautious when meeting new people, especially men — it just takes me a little while to be sure I’m safe. But once I know you mean well, I’ll be your loyal shadow. Because of my past, I really need to be the only pet in the home. I was surrendered because I didn’t get along with other animals, and I’d be happiest being your one-and-only companion. I’m also not comfortable around small children — their sudden movements and noise scare me — so I’d do best in an adult-only home. I can sometimes bark for attention, but when I get calm reassurance, I settle right down. I’m very food- and treat-motivated (hint hint: bribes help when it’s time to put on my harness or coat!). I walk nicely on leash and love spending time outside with my person. I don’t like being left alone, though — it makes me really anxious. I can have accidents or chew things when I’m stressed, so I’d love a home where my person is around most of the time. I’m not a fan of kennels — they make me panic — so I don’t use one. My foster mom works from home, which makes me so happy because I can keep her company all day. I do have a medical condition called bilateral luxating patellas (my back knees), which can make walking and jumping uncomfortable. Sometimes I limp or stop to shake my leg when it hurts. I can’t always hop onto the sofa or bed, so I wait for my foster mom to lift me up and give me a reassuring cuddle. Despite my quirks and challenges, I’m a truly loving companion who just needs patience, stability, and understanding. Once I feel safe, I’ll give you all my heart — and all the cuddles you can handle. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
