For more details, visit: Foster to Forever Program This growing boy is the total package: friendly, cuddly, playful, and full of puppy charm. Marshall loves everyone he meets, including kids and other dogs, and he’s respectful of dogs who need their space. He’s making quick progress on potty training and is already crate trained. He’s learning commands like sit, go, down, and no, especially when treats are involved since he’s very food motivated. Marshall loves toys of all kinds, plays a great game of fetch, and has learned that toys, not fingers, are the best things to chew. At home, he’s a happy, snuggly companion who sleeps well through the night and naps peacefully in the car. He’s growing fast, with the softest fur you’ve ever felt, and he’s just as sweet as he looks. Though he’s still learning the ropes, Marshall is smart, eager to please, and picking things up quickly. This sweet, goofy boy would fit beautifully into a loving home that’s ready to enjoy the fun and fleeting puppy stage. He’ll reward you with endless love, laughter, and snuggles. (We are estimating they were born around 7/01/25. They came to us off the Wind River Reservation. We are uncertain of their exact breed mix) At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website .laramieanimals. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days. Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold. Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee. **Dog/Puppy applications - Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
