Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Meet Glass! Sweet little Glass a 6 pound, 14-week-old chihuahua mix puppy from Tijuana, Mexico, brought to the U.S. through Mutt Mutt Engine. She’s full of energy and joy, keeping up with her playful foster sister and zooming happily around the yard — but she’s just as quick to settle in for cozy cuddles when playtime’s done. Glass currently rules her own “kitchen kingdom,” as she’s still a bit nervous around the large resident dogs — something her foster family is gently helping her work through. She’s also making great progress with potty training, using both the outdoors and potty pads (about 75% success and improving daily!). Leash work hasn’t started yet, but with her very strong food motivation, she’ll be a fast learner once she begins. Glass rides well in the car (especially when crated) and loves her people — though she can be a little shy at first, particularly around men. With time, patience, and lots of tasty treats, she’ll surely come around and let her sweet personality shine. She’s known for her “big feelings” bark — directed at other dogs, the door, or sometimes even the TV — so she’s likely best suited for a home without shared walls. Glass is a gentle soul with a spark of energy, a heart full of love, and so much potential for the right patient, caring home. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
