Dog Breed: Australian Shepherd / Rat Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Juniper is fast approaching her 4-month birthday. Although she only weighs 8-pounds, she is as a gallon of loving sweetness and joy! She will likely remain a small dog weighing under 25 pounds when she's full-grown. She and her siblings were surrendered to Hope as an "Oops!" litter. Her father is a Mini Aussie Shepherd and her mom, a Rat Terrier/Corgi mix. Juniper definitely takes after her mother in looks and temperament. She is a bit on the shy side, given that she is only 5-pounds it's hard to blame her for being a bit timid. Juni lets you know, with her body language how she is feeling! She will curl up on any part of your body available and doze off in a heartbeat. She prances around with joyful abandonment with her paws the air. She has annoyance down to a science as the herding Aussie part of her personality lets you know you are not doing what she wants or going where she demands. She is working diligently on potty/kennel training and learning her proper place in her foster home. She does get scared when a bigger dog approaches her, but she will settle in with time. She is in a home with four foster siblings of various ages and sizes. She has not been tested around small children but has loved everyone she's met. She is untested with cats in her foster home, although the original owner advised the puppies were good around cats.
