Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $350.00. NEW RESCUE! #ManCrushMonday #MCM Meet Pipkin! 1 year old • 11 lbs • Terrier Mix Pipkin is a darling, playful little guy who’s always ready for fun. He loves toys, loves people, and absolutely loves making new dog friends. At just one year old, he’s full of energy and enthusiasm for life! He’s crate trained and doing well with his potty training, especially with consistency and routine. He’s still learning how to be his best self on leash, but he’s very treat motivated and with a little positive direction should pick it up quickly. Pipkin would thrive with a fenced yard where he can zoom around to his heart’s content — and he’d be thrilled to have a dog buddy to play with too! If you’re looking for a sweet, social pup who brings joy wherever he goes, Pipkin might just be your perfect match. Apply to meet him at bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
