Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. Meet Rex – Our Handsome Corso Gentleman Rex is one of those dogs whose heart is just as big as his body. This sweet Cane Corso boy didn’t have the best start — he lived outdoors for part of his young life and came to us with painful fly strikes on his ears. Poor guy! But those days are behind him now. Rex is neutered, vaccinated, and even had his cherry eye successfully removed. With love and care, his ears are healing beautifully, and his shiny coat glows with good nutrition and attention. Rex absolutely loves to be loved — he soaks up affection like sunshine. He’s dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other pups. He’s a big boy with an even bigger heart, looking for someone who will give him the indoor life, comfort, and love he’s always deserved. His experience with kids and cats is unknown, but his gentle nature suggests he’ll thrive with the right match. If you’re ready to give this stunning, affectionate boy a forever home, Rex is ready to give you his heart. ❤️ Rescue: Arizona Mastiff Rescue Website: .azmastiffrescue #AZMastiffRescue #CaneCorso #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #RescueLove #SecondChances #MastiffLove #AdoptRex

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
