Description

Dog Breed: Poodle (Miniature) (medium coat). Peggie is the most sweet and lovable little dog. She is learning how to navigate well with 3 legs. Because she needs to gain weight she is eating 3 times a day and not walking a lot. Her favorite thing is to be held and cuddled. Peggie is learning to live with other dogs. She might snap at another dog her size over attention or food. She is 90% potty trained. She's currently using a stroller for longer walks which she didn’t like at first but is ok with now. She can jump into the recliner but crashes if she jumps out due to learning life missing a front paw. She mostly holds here stump leg up and does not use it. She does seem smart as we are learning commands such as come, pee, poop and no. She catches on quickly. Peggie sleeps in a crate at night due to people preference not her choice. She does sleep in the way back of the crate. Peggie is about 3 years old and appears to be a purebred Miniature Poodle. She had been running loose as a stray in a Texas neighborhood for over 2 years. Animal control was finally able to catch her most likely because she was in such horrible shape. Thank goodness she was finally caught and brought to rescue! Peggie will be coming to NorthStar to find a forever home filled with lots of love and all the wonderful things dogs dream of having.
