Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed. Looking for a dog who is equal parts snuggle bug and playtime pro? TT might just be your perfect match! This 1-year-old Heeler mix hails from a reservation in Utah and brings a whole lot of heart in a perfectly compact 30-pound package. TT’s soft, fluffy coat is made for cuddling, and she lives for ear scratches and cozy snuggle sessions. She’s gentle and affectionate with her people, but don’t let that fool you — when it’s time to play, she’s got moves! TT loves a good rough-and-tumble wrestle with her foster dog siblings and will need to be in a home with another playful, active pup who can keep up with her energy and rough play. She’s crate trained, house trained, and working hard on her leash skills — and with how smart and eager she is, she’s catching on fast! If you’re ready for a lovable fluffball who will be your hiking partner by day and cuddle companion by night, TT is ready to join your pack! Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
