Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (Standard) / Springer Spaniel / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $699. Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 10/27/25 Reason for being in rescue: Owner release/realized they had made a mistake in purchasing a very active puppy Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Ivy is up to date with routine vaccinations for a dog her age, microchipped and on prevention. She was diagnosed with hookworms on intake and is being dewormed now with a repeat deworming needed the 3rd week of November. Ivy's mother was a silver standard poodle. Her father is a black/white springer spaniel. She WILL shed. She is NOT hypoallergenic. Weight: 27 lbs and growing - we anticipate Ivy will be at least 50 lbs when full grown. Possibly more. Height: 17 in at the shoulder now and heading for we think about 24" Spayed/Neutered: No. Ivy is too young to be spayed. She will be adopted on a spay/neuter addendum that requires you to spay her within 9 months at your cost and provide proof of spay. Adoption Fee: $699 Fence needed? Yes, Ivy requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Ivy does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and truly enjoys canine companionship. She’d be happiest in a home with another playful dog to keep her company and help burn off energy. If she’s the only dog, her adopters should plan for regular playdates, dog park visits, or doggy daycare so she continues to get the socialization she craves. Because she’s still a young pup, Ivy will need a home where someone is around more often than not to keep her on a good routine and reinforce positive behaviors. A family or individual who works from home, has flexible hours, or can provide midday companionship would be perfect. Ivy would fit wonderfully into a lively, loving household — whether that’s a family with kids, an active couple, or an individual who enjoys being outdoors. She is 1/2 springer spaniel, and springers are known for their "spring"! She’ll need patient adopters committed to helping her continue her training and development. What is my personality like? Ivy came to us from an accidental litter after her previous owner, a young professional, realized that a puppy required more time and attention than they could give. Thankfully, Ivy has blossomed in her foster home and is showing what a bright, loving, and happy pup, she truly is. This sweet girl is looking for an active, hands-on family who will include her in their daily adventures and help her grow into a confident, well-mannered adult dog. She’s got that perfect mix of playful puppy energy and snuggly affection — and she’s ready to share both with her forever family. Wherever you are, that’s where Ivy wants to be. She’s incredibly people-oriented and will glue herself to anyone in the room, hoping for love, attention, or maybe a tasty treat (treats definitely make her day!). Ivy thrives on human connection and will form strong, loving bonds with her people. Ivy is smart, curious, and eager to please, which makes her an excellent student for training. She’s food-motivated and quick to pick up on new cues when guided with patience and positive reinforcement. Right now, she’s working on learning her basic manners — things like sitting for attention and keeping all four paws on the floor. Like any young puppy, she’ll need ongoing guidance, structure, and consistency as she learns how to navigate life as part of a family. Leash training, house manners and basic obedience are in her future! She has learned her crate is a comfy spot and has already begun crate training. She’s still discovering the world, so exposure to new people, places, and experiences will be key to helping her build confidence. Ivy would do great with puppy training classes or structured playdates, as she’s eager to learn and enjoys showing off her growing skills. Ivy has a natural aptitude for play and will need daily exercise and mental stimulation. She would thrive in a home that enjoys outdoor adventures — think hikes, long walks in the neighborhood, beach runs, or even agility training as she gets older. She loves to explore and is happiest when her body and mind are engaged. After an active day, though, she’s all about curling up next to you for snuggles. With her loving heart, adventurous spirit, and eagerness to learn, Ivy is ready to bring endless joy and laughter into the right home. She’s a dog who will grow into a loyal, devoted companion — the kind who’s always ready for a hike, a game, or a nap by your side. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and intelligent puppy to share your life with, look no further — Ivy is ready to meet you! How do I act when I first meet new people? Ivy is a bright, bouncy puppy full of life, joy, and endless affection. Other tips and tidbits: Ivy's birthday is 06/13/25 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.
