Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff / Mixed. Obby is a handsome male Cane Corso with a heart as big as his paws! This gentle giant is as sweet and affectionate as they come — he truly believes he’s a lapdog and loves nothing more than leaning in for cuddles and belly rubs. Don’t let his size fool you — Obby is a playful boy who enjoys goofing around, spending time with his people, and soaking up all the attention he can get. He has a calm, loving temperament that makes him a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates both his gentle nature and his playful side. If you’re looking for a big-hearted best friend who’ll fill your days with love and loyalty, Obby is your guy! PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
