Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever (short coat). Meet the Stars Hollow Nine! These Labrador Retriever puppies and their mother came to WAG when the puppies were just a few days old (born 9/23/25) and their previous owner could not care for them. Their mother, River, has a very sweet temperament and has been wonderful with her babies. She has a home lined up once the babies no longer need her, but the puppies will need loving homes to go to when they are old enough, around November 18. Females: Babette, Patty, Liz, Drella, and Sookie Males: Kirk, Taylor, Morey, and Gil WAG's puppies require homes with a visibly fenced yard, people that are home most hours and can dedicate time to training, children at least 5 years old, and another dog in the home under age 8 to act as a role model would be a plus. WAG will provide all age appropriate vaccinations, but adopters are required to spay or neuter their puppy by 6 months or at the age recommended by their veterinarian. Visit our website to fill out an Adoption Application .wagsequimwa If you have any questions, please email: wagranchyahoo Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements. Adoption donation fee up to $300 (Please understand this adoption donation goes towards helping all the dogs we rescue)

Overview:
The Labrador Retriever, a beloved and highly popular breed, originated in Newfoundland, Canada, where they were initially bred to assist fishermen by retrieving nets and stray fish. Physically, they are medium-to-large dogs, known for their strong, athletic build, short, dense, weather-resistant double coat (commonly seen in black, yellow, or chocolate), and their distinctive "otter" tail. Temperamentally, Labs are celebrated for their friendly, outgoing, and good-natured disposition, making them exceptional family companions. Their intelligence and eagerness to please contribute to their trainability, though they do require consistent exercise to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. While adaptable, their energy levels make them more suited to homes with yards, or highly active families, rather than apartment living, unless daily extensive exercise is guaranteed. Regarding health, Labs can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia, and some eye conditions, so responsible breeding practices are crucial. Overall, their loyalty, versatility, and affectionate nature firmly establish the Labrador Retriever as a wonderful addition to many households.
