At approximately 1 year old and 18 pounds, she’s the perfect little blend of playful puppy energy and cuddly companion. Her happy little footsteps and the joyful pep in her stride make life fun. Millie’s early life was tough, but she’s blossoming beautifully, learning that people can be kind and love is safe. She gets along wonderfully with humans and dogs of all sizes and has a gentle, open-hearted spirit. Millie is mostly potty trained and feels most comfortable eating or napping in quiet, cozy spots, so crate training has been a success. She loves spending time outdoors, especially when she can run freely in a fenced yard, though she’s still adjusting to the idea of a leash since it’s something new for her. If you’re looking for a dog who perfectly balances playtime and relaxation, Millie is your girl. She delights in chasing her furry friends, perks up at the word “treats,” and has an inquisitive mind eager to learn and explore. Just give her a few days to warm up and then she’ll be your BFF. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
