Dog Breed: Shih Tzu / Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed. Meet Sugar Baby! This precious 12-year-old Shih Tzu came to us from a local shelter, and she’s ready to find her forever home! Sugar Baby has been seen by a cardiologist and was diagnosed with a grade 5 heart murmur and a mitral valve leak. The wonderful news is that she’s not symptomatic, and the cardiologist says she can live a long, happy life as long as she stays that way! She will need to be on her heart medications for the rest of her life, but she takes them like a champ. Sugar Baby is great with other dogs and cats, and she’s an absolute cuddle bug who loves nothing more than snuggling up with her people. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle companion who will fill your days with love and smiles, Sugar Baby may be the perfect match for you! We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home. Please only apply if you are serious about adopting. Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match.
