Captain came from a shelter in Louisiana, where he sadly spent many months being overlooked — black dogs are often passed by despite their amazing personalities. Captain is a friendly, happy, and loving boy who’s now in New Jersey, ready to finally find his forever home. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term.
