When she was found, she was hungry and suffering from a severe case of mange that took weeks of TLC to heal. Despite everything she’s been through, Mara is incredibly social and affectionate. She clearly had no street skills and seems to have been born as someone’s pet before being abandoned to fend for herself. Her rescuer believes that, with our help, Mara can finally have the safe and happy life she deserves here in the States. She’s currently in boarding in Puerto Rico, waiting for her chance at a foster or forever home. Mara is about 10 months old and weighs 29 lbs.
