Meet Gomez Adams! This fun-sized sweet treat arrived just in time for Halloween! He is the proud father of Pugsley Adams, who you can learn more about here. The Adams boys were surrendered when Pugsley’s mom gave birth to him and his littermates this past winter, but they are not a bonded pair. Gomez is super playful; he absolutely loves playgroup and chew toys. We know he’d enjoy a yard to play in, but we ask that his future family always keeps an eye on him while he’s outside—he once snuck under the fence to play with the dog next door! Aside from this one instance of fun-loving rebellion, he is very well behaved and potty trained. He does well on the leash and will make a great walking partner. Although Gomez is a friendly gentleman, we’re not sure how he does with children, other dogs or cats in the home just yet. We think a calm and low energy environment will be best for him as he adjusts to his new fur-ever home. Gomez is looking for a relaxed family life. Nothing "creepy" or "kooky" for this Adams family member—just a loving home with plenty of fetch, walks and cuddles on the couch. In return, he will give you all his love and infinite puppy kisses! It’s absolutely scary how cute Gomez Adams is! Will you give him the loving home he deserves? Let him know you’re interested in meeting by filling out an application today! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. Breed overview
Overview:
The Rat-Cha, a charming crossbreed between the Chihuahua and Rat Terrier, offers a spirited companion with a unique blend of its parent breeds' best traits. Originating from the desire to combine the Chihuahua's affectionate nature with the Rat Terrier's intelligence and robustness, this hybrid is gaining popularity. Physically, Rat-Chas are typically small to medium-sized, weighing between 6 and 15 pounds, with a short, easy-to-care-for coat that can vary widely in color. They often possess expressive eyes and a sturdy build, reflecting their terrier lineage. Temperamentally, they are known for being alert, playful, and loyal, often forming strong bonds with their families. While they can be vocal, early socialization and training can mitigate this. Their adaptable size makes them well-suited for both apartment living and homes with yards, and they can be wonderful additions to active families, though supervision is wise with very young children due to their smaller stature. Health-wise, like many small breeds, they can be prone to dental issues and patellar luxation, so regular vet check-ups are important.
