Meet Pugsley Adams, the fun-sized treat that’s ready to steal your heart this Halloween! He is the sweet son of Gomez Adams, who you can learn more about here. The Adams boys were surrendered when Pugsley’s mom gave birth to him and his littermates this past winter, but they are not a bonded pair. Pugsley is a playful and active puppy, ready to bring so much fun and laughter to his fur-ever home. He loves his time outdoors, squeaky toys, and a bit of roughhouse and chase! He can be a little “on-edge” when meeting new dogs, but adjusts very quickly. He’s a smart and affectionate puppy who hopes his new family will help him gain the confidence and social skills he needs. Pugsley is excelling at household manners and crate training, walks well on the leash and even enjoys car rides. He doesn’t like cats, so we’d recommend a home without them or any other small animals. This Adams family member is hoping to get away from the “mysterious” and “spooky”—he’s looking for a calm, patient and loving home. We highly recommend obedience training for all of our dogs, especially puppies like Pugsley. Training is a great way to bond with your new family member and reinforce basic commands while building confidence, developing social skills and having fun. It’s absolutely scary how cute Pugsley Adams is! Will you give him the loving home he deserves? Let him know you’re interested in meeting by filling out an application today! Breed overview
Overview:
The Rat-Cha, a charming crossbreed between the Chihuahua and Rat Terrier, offers a spirited companion with a unique blend of its parent breeds' best traits. Originating from the desire to combine the Chihuahua's affectionate nature with the Rat Terrier's intelligence and robustness, this hybrid is gaining popularity. Physically, Rat-Chas are typically small to medium-sized, weighing between 6 and 15 pounds, with a short, easy-to-care-for coat that can vary widely in color. They often possess expressive eyes and a sturdy build, reflecting their terrier lineage. Temperamentally, they are known for being alert, playful, and loyal, often forming strong bonds with their families. While they can be vocal, early socialization and training can mitigate this. Their adaptable size makes them well-suited for both apartment living and homes with yards, and they can be wonderful additions to active families, though supervision is wise with very young children due to their smaller stature. Health-wise, like many small breeds, they can be prone to dental issues and patellar luxation, so regular vet check-ups are important.
