Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed. Meet Zeus! Zeus is a 9½-month-old, 57-lb Staffie, Husky, and Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This handsome boy is fully vaccinated, recently neutered, crate trained, and walks great on a leash. Zeus is an energetic and affectionate pup who loves to play, especially when there’s water involved — the pool is one of his favorite spots! After a good play session, he’s all about cuddles and will happily curl up by your side. He hasn’t been around kids yet, but he adores spending time with his people and would thrive as the only dog in a home where he can soak up all the love and attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful companion who will bring both fun and affection to your days, Zeus is your guy — ready to make every moment brighter. Interested in adopting this pet? Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
