Please contact Peggy at 479-637-0207 for inquires on your next best friend. WE LIVE BY FAITH AND SEE DIVINE INTERVENTION: SAVING GOD'S CREATURES ONE AT A TIME: Yeti is a very sweet Siberian Husky that was brought in as a stray. No one has claimed him and he is considered available for adoption now! He walks good on a leash, pulls a little but nothing extreme! He is talkative, typical husky, but nothing excessive. He is good with kids, unsure about other animals or dogs, he is not neutered and unknown shot status. He appears to be 1-2 years old and approximately 50 lbs. It takes a village to help the numerous homeless and abandoned fur babies in our community. Together WE can make a difference!! For every animal that dies in a shelter, someone, somewhere is responsible for its death. Homeless Pets Lifeline - Friends of the Shelter is a volunteer Organization whose purpose is to oppose cruelty in all forms, and encourage humane handling and care of animals, advance spay/neuter programs, and strive for responsible adoptions and ownership, Please encourage your friends and acquaintances to consider adopting one of the many homeless animals.

Siberian Husky

Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
