Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Foster or forever home wanted, meet sweet Charlie. Charlie' s temperament tells us he was a once loved dog at some point in his life. So how he ended up as a stray in nowhere land running with a group of other abandoned dogs is beyond us. Luckily, it was in an area where there is a group of dedicated volunteers that do the best they can to set up feeding stations for strays in the area. Charlie was spotted in the area since about April. Since Charlie is not a breed of dog normally seen dumped in that area, they scanned him for a microchip. Bingo, there was one located but the registered owner said she rehomed him about two years ago. She reached out to the person she gave him too and they no longer wanted him either. So poor Charlie experienced being dumped and unwanted more than once. When we heard of Charlie's plight, we raised our hands to help him and got him off the streets. The volunteers that feed the strays says Charlie is as sweet as they come. He leans into you for love and craves the attention. Since he's new to the rescue we are still getting to know him.
